Life.

How does one choose one's passion in life if one has many?

Or worse, none?

I ate some more oranges today. And 86% chocolate. You need to have more than 75% cocoa for it to contain some health benefit. Good thing we like dark chocolate.

oh dear

once again, i wake up and i still don't know what to do with myself.

everyone else around me seems to know. must of course just be me.
i woke up today and realised that instead of having oatmeal for breakfast (what i usually eat everyday), i felt like bread.

and the good thing is, we have bread.

so i ate bread. and a banana. because you know, you could always use the potassium.

Of thinking

They say that when you have too much time on your hands, you start thinking of things you shouldn't be thinking about...

Book

If I ever decided to write a book...I wonder what I would write about.

Inactivity

Loverboy and I have established that I have gained some weight in the last few weeks. It could have been due to my inactivity from being sick, or it could just be I haven't been watching my eating.

Whatever it is, it's got me feeling mighty miserable.

Sense

I find that the more I try to make sense of the world, the less I understand.

Eyesight

If the majority of your day consists of sitting down in front of a computer screen, your eyes might get tired looking at a screen all day long. You're supposed to relax your eyes by focusing on something in the distance every 30 minutes or so.

Eyes weren't meant to focus short distance for long periods of time.

On the same train of thought, man was not meant to sit on a chair for long periods of time. Hence all the health problems linked to desk jobs.

Oranges

Oranges are in season right now. But they're not orange in colour. They're green.

But they're oranges all right, once you peel the skin off.

Today, we went to buy oranges.

And so now, we get plenty of Vitamin C.

Drained

I didn't know it was possible to feel so drained after doing nothing.

Guess even doing nothing takes up energy.

Medication

Have you ever seen one of those tv ads for medication where they picture you running through green fields all happy that you're healthy, and then suddenly a voice runs through a long list of side effects...and you begin to wonder why anyone in their right mind would take any medication where its side effects outnumbers the symptoms you're trying to treat in the first place?

Have you?

A Voice

Sometimes it isn't that I've nothing to say. It's that I've got too many thought processes going on and so many little stories that I can't find how to connect the dots coherently.

I don't know how to make it all sound like it makes sense.

How do you make sense of little sights you catch on the roadside of people living their lives out? Do you try to find a common factor, one storyline about many people to tell?

The truth is I've got plenty of things to say. I just haven't found my voice yet.

Slavery

Don't you think having live-in maids who are underpaid, have no personal freedom, no proper working hours, and are kept from moving about on their own equates modern-day slavery?
